Temporary exhibition

From ballroom to nightclub, from jazz to techno, C’est Party! takes you on a journey through 100 years of nightlife in Flanders and Brussels. Step onto the dance floors of the past and discover how celebrations and a sense of freedom have connected generations.

Who is it for? Book here for a self-guided group visit for adults.

Available languages? Dutch, English, French

Duration? 1 hour 30 minutes

When? During the museum’s opening hours (closed on Wednesdays).

Group size? A maximum of 15 people per group. Is your group larger? Please divide it into smaller groups and book additional time slots. Only one group can start per time slot, with a 15-minute interval between groups.

Would you like to visit the exhibition independently? Each participant explores the exhibition at their own pace using an individual audio guide and headphones.

Permanent exhibition

During this interactive visit, you will discover a wide range of familiar objects, photographs, sounds and videos from the 20th and 21st centuries. Together, they spark conversations about the traditions, rituals and customs that have shaped everyday life, past and present.

Group size? A maximum of 15 people per group. Up to three groups can start at the same time.

Enjoy a reduced rate when visiting with your group of students.

Bookings and Rates

Booking

  • Book at least 1 working day in advance.
  • Submit your booking request online. Need help with your online application? Contact Museum Bookings Ghent on +32 (0)9 210 10 75, weekdays from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Rates

  • Admission ticket per person
  • Groups of 15 or more benefit from a discounted group admission rate.
  • Reduced admission for college and university students (aged 19–25). Adult education groups are charged the standard admission rate.

Bringing your own guide? A €15 speaking fee applies. This can be indicated when submitting your online request for a self-guided group visit.
