Museum café

A drink before or after visiting the museum? Or a break during a walk around Ghent? Step into our museum café or find a seat in the lovely courtyard garden. A popular stop for residents of Ghent, a discovery for many passers-by. The courtyard garden also hosts concerts and activities during events like the Gentse Feesten, Patersholfeesten and Museumnight.

Capacity

There are 40 seats in the museum café and 60 in the courtyard garden.

It is not possible to make reservations.

Groups and schools visiting the museum may picnic in the inner garden (not possible in the museum café).
We do ask you to order a drink in the museum café. This way you support our volunteer work!
Indoor picnics in the neighbourhood are available at:
- The Spijker café, book in advance at michelle@hetspijker.be.
- 't Gouden Mandeken, book in advance via Frederik (0471 72 00 07).

Opening hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 10.30 - 17.00

Wednesday: closed

Saturday and Sunday: 10.30 - 18.00

School holidays and public holidays: 10.30 - 18.00

Extra: Every last Thursday of the month, the Vrienden van Alijn organise Livemuziek@Alijn. The museum café is then open from 19.15 to 01.00.
