Gent-Dampoort Station: walk 18 minutes (1,4 km) or take bus line 10 or bus line 11 (platform under viaduct) to the Sint-Jacobs - Vlasmarkt stop. Walk to the Vrijdagmarkt, in the direction of Patershol. Cross the Zuivelbrugje bridge and turn left into Kraanlei.
Gent Sint-Pieters Station:

Take into account the circulation plan of the city of Ghent. The Huis van Alijn is in the pedestrian zone of the centre. From 2020, there will also be a low-emission zone in the centre.
Parking: the nearest car park is P1 Vrijdagmarkt (paid parking). You can also use the free Park&Ride on the outskirts of the city and travel into the centre by public transport.

Parking: no coaches are allowed to park in the centre of Ghent. Parking max. 30 mins at the Kiss & Ride on the Bijlokesite (Godshuizenlaan and Bijlokekaai) and Gent Dampoort station or longer-stay parking at Gent-Dampoort station (paid parking) and Yachtdreef (free).
The hop on hop off water tram operates from 01.04 to 01.11 every Saturday and Sunday. The nearest stop is Gravensteen. This stop is on Kraanlei, near the museum. Have you got a City Card? If so, the hop on hop off is included.
