The AGB Erfgoed / House of Alijn reserves the right to unilaterally alter these conditions. In addition to these general terms and conditions, specific conditions may apply, including conditions related to other services delivered (regardless of whether they are delivered through the websites or not). If the language in the general terms and conditions and the specific conditions conflict, the specific conditions take precedence.

This website has been developed and published with the utmost care. The AGB Erfgoed / House of Alijn bears no responsibility for use of this website. The AGB Erfgoed /House of Alijn does not guarantee that this website is free of viruses, nor that this website will be available at all times or function flawlessly. The Data that the Museum of Industry makes available on its website may be the property of the AGB Erfgoed / House of Alijn or may be the property of third parties. Some Data belongs to the public domain, and other Data is protected by third party rights, such as intellectual property rights, privacy laws, contractual limitations, etc. Data that belongs to the public domain is made available under the Creative Commons principle of the ‘Public Domain Mark’, which can be found here. 

The AGB Erfgoed / House of Alijn endeavours, to the greatest extent possible, to make available the information it has regarding the intellectual property rights relevant to this Data. The AGB Erfgoed / House of Alijn cannot guarantee or ensure that all necessary information is provided, nor that the information is correct.

Why, with whom and for how long? 

By submitting your personal data, you grant the AGB Erfgoed / Museum of Industry permission to use it for informative purposes related to the museum’s daily operations. 

We use this data (only) within our museum’s daily operations. We understand this to mean:

  •  dissemination of the newsletter
  • information-sharing related to specific and/or upcoming activities 
  • data-sharing with third parties in the context of (historical) research 
  • collection management 

By submitting your data, you grant permission for it to be used in the dissemination of the newsletter. As long as you do not unsubscribe, your data will be stored for upcoming communications. 


Your rights 

You always have the right to review your personal data and to amend incorrect data. In some cases, you can also have your data deleted. Would you like to exercise these rights? You may do so using the contact form on this page. 

Do you suspect that someone is making unauthorised use of your personal data? Report it to us via info@industriemuseum.be. You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority.

Applicable law and competent courts 

This site is subject to Belgian law. Should a disagreement arise, only the courts presiding over the legal district of East Flanders, Subdivision Ghent, have authority.
