Programme

On 4 December, we will take you on a journey back in time to the funfairs of yesteryear – but with a twist! Everyone is welcome from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.!

PARTY IN THE COURTYARD
DJ Oliver Alex will be spinning retro fairground beats from 6 p.m. to midnight: let's dance together to fairground music! Thirsty? The outdoor bar + the museum café of the Friends of Alijn will be open until 1 a.m. Or hungry? Enjoy a warm waffle at the poffertjes stall until 11 p.m.

CirQ will provide entertainment in the courtyard garden between 8 p.m. and midnight.

MAGIC IN THE MUSEUM ATTIC
DIY magic or fortune telling with mini kits and magic cards. Surprise yourself with House of Mysteries: tarot, mentalism and card magic from 8 p.m. to midnight.

GAMES IN THE KATHARINA HALL
Try your luck at old-school fairground games and strike a pose in the photo booth. Or unleash your inner animal at the face painting stand from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

FREE ENTRY TO THE MUSEUM

Relive memories together in the museum of everyday life. Or discover even more “fairground tricks” in the Fairground wonders exhibition. Open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Accessibility

Museum Night is not accessible to wheelchair users. There are several thresholds and stairs to cross. Portable chairs are available in the museum.

Feeling overwhelmed? Let a member of staff know. We will be happy to help you find a quieter spot.

SAFETY

For safety reasons, we ask that you do not bring backpacks or handbags. Please be aware that you may be asked to open your coats and bags at any time.

Museum Night Ghent

On 4 December, not only the House of Alijn, but also other museums in Ghent will open their doors free of charge until 1 a.m.
