An exhibition about parades and their organisers, participants and onlookers.

Be it for a parade, demonstration, pride march or procession, we regularly take to the streets, either without a plan or after lengthy preparations. Such events allow groups to express themselves. Music, banners and slogans fill the streets. Placards, clothes, masks, figures and floats reinforce the message. The exhibition 'Into the streets' sheds light on parades in Flanders and Brussels from the past and present. It provides an insight from the organisers’, participants’ and onlookers’ perspective.
